Tendinitis & Impingement Syndrome Rehabilitation

When Every Movement Hurts — We Help You Move Pain-Free Again

Shoulder pain that stops you from lifting your arm… elbow pain from something as simple as typing… or knee pain after a short walk — these aren't just signs of aging or overuse. They’re red flags of tendinitis or impingement syndrome, two of the most common yet misunderstood causes of musculoskeletal pain.

At Physio Ace Physiotherapy & Sports Rehab Clinic, we specialize in non-surgical, evidence-based rehab for all types of tendon and impingement injuries. Whether your pain started recently or has been nagging you for months, we’ll help you recover safely — and teach you how to keep it from coming back.

What is Tendinitis?

Tendinitis (also spelled tendonitis) is inflammation or irritation of a tendon — the thick cord that connects muscle to bone. When overused, injured, or strained, a tendon can swell, thicken, and become painful during movement.

Common Types We Treat:
  • Rotator cuff tendinitis (shoulder)
  • Patellar tendinitis (jumper’s knee)
  • Achilles tendinitis (heel)
  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)

What is Impingement Syndrome?

Impingement syndrome typically affects the shoulder joint, where soft tissues like tendons or bursae get pinched or compressed between bones — often during overhead or repetitive activities.

It often co-exists with tendinitis, creating a painful loop:
Impingement → Tendon inflammation → More impingement

Over time, this may lead to tendon degeneration, tears, or loss of joint function.

What Causes It?

You don’t have to be an athlete to develop tendinitis or impingement. In fact, repetitive stress from daily life is often the main culprit.

01

Repetitive movements (typing, lifting, throwing, etc.)

02

Poor posture (forward head, rounded shoulders)

03

Weak or imbalanced muscles

04

Improper training or lifting techniques

05

Age-related tendon degeneration
